to the photo takers, if you could send us the photo files by e-mail (tivonidevor@gmail.com), the kodak sites and ones like it limit how you can download them and limit the size and quality you have access to unless you buy their prints, we'll try to create a central database of all the photos probably after the honeymoon next week.

One Month Away!

Wow, there are only 33 days until the wedding. yikes! Luckily, everything is pretty much done and after this week (when we finalize the details with the venue) it will be all smooth sailing.

If you haven't booked a room yet at either hotel, please do so today as they are almost out of rooms!

Invites are en route! Expect to see yours grace the mailbox in 2-5 business days! Glad we sent the Save the Dates out, that's for sure! We, being the artsy people that we are, designed (and printed) the invites ourselves to reflect our love of Philadelphia and each other.

And they are 'green' and eco-friendly, printed on post-consumer recycled paper and laid out in a unique way that requires no envelopes or extra waste. You'll see what we mean when it arrives.

Right to the moon, Alice

Since Tivoni and I have been dating for almost 5 years (!) we’ve traveled a lot together. From the Bahamas and Mexico to Portland, Oregon and Kansas City to name a few stops –we’ve been around to say the least. And being the adventurous people that we are, we try to make the most of our vacation time by soaking up the culture, interacting with locals and spending as much time possible snorkeling, hiking and exploring.

So for our honeymoon we thought we take a different route and do, well, nothing. We’re getting a fantastic beach house in Avon, North Carolina (where the ocean’s temperature is the warmest in September)and plan on maxin’ and relaxin’. The house has a full size swimming pool, hot tub and is just a short walk to the beach. And if Google maps is correct, there is only one other house within a mile radius.

And, it’s the first time we’ll go without cell phones for an entire week, so wish us luck!

So many of you may be wondering what to expect at a brunch wedding.

We plan on having the ceremony start at 10:30, then followed by a mimosa/bloody mary cocktail hour with some of the finest local cheeses and fresh baked goods and then of course, THE reception.

While we most certainly suggest eating a good breakfast (we can all agree 10:30 is early for something like this!)be assured that the brunch selection at The Omni is one of the best Philadelphia has to offer.

Brunch is our favorite meal, so we are not amateurs at it by any means. Belgian waffles, a variety of smoked fish (our favorite)and pastries plus a variety of more lunch-time choices like delicious pastas, salads, carving stations and more.

And don't panic, we won't be having the DJ call each table up to the buffet one a time. You'll all be able to dig in at once as we're setting up mini-stations all across the room.

Since our moms have started to circulate this site around, we thought we'd try to update with any important info before the actual invitations come out. We're actually designing and printing them ourselves so it's taking a bit longer than expected.

Both the Ceremony and the Reception will be held at The Omni Hotel at Independence Park in the historical Old City district of the Philadelphia. Limited rooms are available at the Omni (it is a small boutique hotel)so we also reserved additional accommodations at The Holiday Inn, just a few blocks away

For either hotel please use the McCluskey/Devor Wedding when reserving.
Both sites have parking options, The Holiday Inn in walking distance to The Omni.
